We’re really excited to announce that Canonical has been selected as one of the 2015 World Economic Forum Tech Pioneers. The award was given to Canonical in the Digital Networks and Computing category, which recognises organisations involved in computer hardware, software and networks, as well as their applications for social, security, payment or learning purposes.
The World Economic Forum says its Technology Pioneers programme recognises companies from around the world that are involved in the design, development and deployment of new technologies, and are set to have a significant impact on business and society. Technology Pioneers must demonstrate visionary leadership and show signs of being long-standing market leaders – their technology must be proven.
Canonical was selected as a Technology Pioneer from hundreds of applications by a selection committee, which is comprised of top technology and innovation experts, academics, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.
This is an enormous honour for Canonical and recognition of how the organisation is driving innovation and pushing boundaries.
